The "Coachmen", c. 1963 at the Taft School, Watertown, CT. In the middle is Tony Howe, who was smarter than either of us and became a doctor. As you can see, we were pretty serious in those days. Joe on the left, Bing on the right.

In addition to regular appearances at Taft and neighboring schools, we travelled as far south as Washington, DC, for shows at the Madeira School and a number of clubs in Georgetown.

Late 1964 or early 1965 at Williams College in Massachusetts, with Dave Earle in the middle. We were still the "Coachmen" in these days, and made a number of recordings at the college radio station, WMS-WCFM.

There would be a 4-year gap following June, 1965, due to geo-political activities.

Onstage at Chapin Hall, Williams College, in Spring 1972

A newspaper ad for our first engagement at the Anchorage Westward (Alaska) Hotel. We appeared as "Brandreth," although everyone just called us "Joe and Bing." We played 6 nights a week for 4 weeks at the Top of the World room.
An ad for our second appearance at the Anchorage Westward. On the right is Scotty Miller, who accompanied us on Bass and Guitar.

North to Alaska !

A publicity photo taken for our impending (second) engagement in Anchorage Alaska.

The photo was taken in Central Park, NYC, with Joe, Scotty Miller, and Bing

On stage at the "Last Chance Saloon" in Poughkeepsie, NY, c. 1976.
The "Chance" was a frequent venue in those days.

"Gabe Kaplan Presents the Future Stars"

Here we are chatting with Gabe Kaplan (of "Welcome Back, Kotter" fame) during one of our west coast television appearances, c. 1976
